I think these could actually be one of my favourite thriftstore finds EVER! Vintage Thai Indian Elephant high waisted cotton shorts from one of my favourite charity shops.
I picked up these super-cute and quirky little thai Elephant print high waisted cotton shorts form Sue Ryder in Eye for just £2.50. They were a total steal! They are sooo cute and sooo comfortable.
Made out of a light and breezy soft cotton with an elasticated and draw string rope waist, they are perfect for summer. I just love the freespirited bohemian vibe of the adorable mama and baby elephant and the colour palette gives a nautical hint without overdoing the anchors and ropes.
In my fantasy-life I would wear these almost every day of a wild year long backpacking trip across Asia, or to a complete hippy-fest of a festival with lashings of feathers and battered old sandals. Sadly my real life does not have any backpacking or festival raving on the horizon, so instead I will be bringing the West to the East (Midlands) with over-sized fringed cardigans, vintage cowboy boots and fishtail braids.
I also do not plan on retiring these to the summer collection suitcase under the bed come the cooler weather... layered up with some wool knit tights and cute kick ass little boots plus a giant chunky knit jumper these little beauties will be wearable well into Autumn/Fall.
Also featured here are 2 awesome vintage handbags from my obscenely large collection, oversized Dorothy Perkins fringed chunky knit cardigan. DIY rose wedges and lace bandeau, my fave pair of vintage cowboy boots purchased almost 8 years ago now from Etsy, a pile of vintage feather and ethnic jewellery and a washed out David Bowie muscle tee.
