The world's a crazy place lately, spread a little Peace + Love and crochet these beautiful Peace Sign Granny squares by Judy K.
Today I planned to share my Easter Bunny face Granny Square using the Granny Triangle but following the recent events in the news I felt that this beautiful Peace Sign Crochet pattern by Judy K of So Far, So Good on Ravelry was more appropriate.
Whilst the cynic in me says it's sadly just in the nature of the human race to hurt and destroy one another, my free spirited heart longs for a world where everybody is just that little bit more tolerant and compassionate. That bit more kind, considerate and loving towards one another. What would it cost us? Nothing at all. Sweet F.A. *off my rainbow flowered and dreadlocked soap box*
History is saturated with man killing man in the name of religion, or for financial gain and power but the world we live in today seems so full of hatred and bitterness. Even just selling our old car on Gumtree has seen more than one unprovoked and totally unnecessary nasty text message or email sent to my phone.
#yarnbombsnotrealbombs
So today instead of feeling scared and sad and despondent for the future, I am crocheting Judy K's beautiful Peace Symbol granny squares and keeping my heart full of love.
