So, the Great British Summer is in full swing complete with torrential rain, wind and soggy picnic food in the park! Lol. But like that's going to stop us making the most of the still milder weather and enjoying eating outside?!

This week's free Mandala Monday pattern is perfect for brightening up your BBQ - even if it is under cover in the rain - as this yummy jersey yarn perfectly lends itself to handmade crochet table ware.

Made using a big 10mm hook, this works up so fast! And the beauty of jersey yarn is that is gives you lots of yummy texture and a structured piece.

You can see progress and an early sneaky peak of each week's mandala over on Instagram @sfmgs. This week I'm using this lush rosewood Wool And The Gang hook that came with my WATG x Katie Jones Knits Betty Basket Kit (watch this space for a full review!) , Jersey yarn and some left over WATG Mixtape Yarn from my Copacabana Espadrilles
